August Summary☀️🌴

That’s a wrap on another beautiful month of 2024. I know that I have been a little absent this month. I have just been so busy with moving and getting settled. Also, not gonna lie Sabrina Carpenters new album has been taking up a lot of my time, it has me in a chokehold. With this summary I am gonna go over some of my favorite products, outfits, events, etc. of the month. We’re even gonna talk about some other fun things that happened this month.

Starting off with the main events that took place. First thing is my cute little pup Charlee turned 4! He is getting so big. Of course I had to celebrate so I got him a little birthday box from Chewy that I get him every year and take a picture of him with his toys. It’s tradition at this point. Next, as I already mentioned was my parents and I did move into our new house. This has been long awaited for about a year now so it feels good to know I’m in a place I’m gonna be for a while. I am absolutely OBSESSED with my room. Of course I had to add some Kiryn flare to it by adding an accent wall with wallpaper. The best part is that I have my own bathroom connected to my room. I’m putting my Interior Design Certification to work hehe.

Another exciting event this month is I have been getting closer with the friend group I made. I feel like in your 20’s it’s really hard to make friends and it’s nice to know that I have this little group of mine. We all met at work back when I worked at a smoothie shop before I got my wedding job. Even though most of us have since gone our separate ways from that job we all keep in touch and hang out.

Now the big shocker of this month is I have started drinking coffee. Like WHAT? Who even am I? I am not one to drink coffee but lately I have been craving it and wanting to try it. I have discovered it’s actually not that bad once you get past the first couple sips. The only thing is, no matter how early I drink it, it will keep me up at night. So at least we know it’s working.

Moving onto movies I watched this month. There is just something about the movies that I love. It’s very relaxing and the snacks are just so good. Unfortunately AMC has been out of the chocolate covered pretzels every time I have gone this month. I was forced to settle for peanut MnMs but it’s fine. The first movie I saw was Inside Out 2. I personally thought it was better than the first one I feel like the storyline was more relatable. Maybe just because I’m older but I do feel like they made anxiety very accurate and portrayed it nicely. I would watch it again but probably not voluntarily. The next movie was Trap. I wasn’t quite sure what it was about but it was very entertaining and it wasn’t predictable at all. It was a very well done movie. The last movie I saw and you already know what is. I saw It Ends With Us. That book was what actually got me back into reading so when I heard the movie was coming out I was so excited. I know there’s a lot of drama and controversary around it that I am leaving out. My overall thoughts was that I loved it I thought it was very well done. My mom not reading the book thought that it was very good too. I would watch it again.

Now let’s talk about the books I read this month. This month was a little harder for me to get motivated to read because I feel like my mind has been elsewhere. However, I did end up reading 3 books which is about average for me. First one was Magnolia Parks by Jessa Hastings. First of all the cover is so cute and very girly. It wasn’t as spicy as I expected it to be and it did not end how I wanted so now I got to read the second one to find out what happens. Next I read Without Merit by Colleen Hoover. In honor of the movie I had to read one of her books before I went and saw it. She honestly never disappoints and the storylines are always so unique. Why are her book boyfriends always so perfect too? It’s setting unrealistic expectations. Anyways though, of course it was a 5 star read I read it in like 4 days which is fast for me. Last book I read was Nice Girls by Catherine Dang. It was a mystery which is what I have been going for lately. It’s a entertaining book and it leaves you wanting to know what happens next. I was not expecting the twist that was in it that’s for sure. I am currently only 11 books away from my reading goal this year which is 30 books. I feel like we can do it we still have 4 months.
